March 14, 2025Tampa, FL – March 2025 – Project Focus is proud to announce the launch of its state-approved Workforce Readiness Training (WRT) program for young adults aged 18-21 and high school seniors with developmental disabilities. This new program, approved by the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), represents a significant expansion of services for the Focus family of programs.
The WRT program is an 8-week, after-school initiative designed to provide hands-on, in-person training and experiential learning opportunities. Through interactive activities, participants will gain valuable life and job skills to support their journey toward independence and meaningful employment.
“Our goal is to continuously grow our programs to ensure young adults with developmental disabilities have access to meaningful opportunities and jobs in the community,” said Rachel Kollar, Workforce Readiness Program Manager. “This program is an important steppingstone in their journey toward independence and lifelong fulfilment.”
