Dell was born and raised in Tampa and attended local schools. When their children were grown, Dell returned to the classroom where she was a Title One teacher for remedial reading and math for several years, later joining the staff of Sacred Heart Academy where she taught for 16 years. Dell is a member of Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church and the Temple Terrace Woman’s Club. After retiring, she served on various Citizens Committees for the city of Temple Terrace. She most recently termed out after nine years on the Temple Terrace School Support Committee and the River Watch Task Force. She is currently the chair of the Temple Terrace Public Library Board. Dell and her family have a lifetime commitment to serving the youth in their community.
