Opened in 2022, our Middle School program accepts students for grades 6 through 8. Utilizing the same innovative techniques and curriculum that have characterized the Focus Academy High School and
Transition programs, our Middle School program will focus on intensive
reading.
Focus Academy provides students with a comprehensive academic and social experience. Curriculum at Focus Academy is structured with the primary goals of academic achievement and social success. Rigorous academics are a key component to our learning environment. Focus Academy students work towards a Standard Diploma via an Access Points curriculum.
The mission of the Focus Academy Transition Program is to prepare each student for the most independent and satisfying adult life possible. This program builds on the philosophical approach of our High School program in that transition, life and employability skills training are combined with a continued and expanded focus on independent functioning skills, social competency, and social connection. Opportunities to continue to work on these all important life skills needed for future independence.
