Focus Day School was opened with the support of Project Focus, a community-based nonprofit, to meet the growing need for individualized, strengths-based education for younger learners with developmental disabilities. Since opening, the school has provided small class sizes, therapeutic supports, and a nurturing environment designed to build confidence, independence, and long-term success for its students. 

“This school was created to meet students where they are and help them discover how capable they truly are. Every learner deserves an environment that understands their needs, celebrates their strengths and supports their growth. We are honored to open our doors and partner with families in the Tampa Bay Area,” said Elisabeth Kraft-Radka, Head of Schools. 

The new location allows Focus Day School to continue delivering its hallmark approach while providing students with a peaceful, welcoming setting that supports both academic and social development. 

As Project Focus advances its broader vision of an integrated community of education, workforce training, and independent living opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities, Focus Day School plays a critical role in serving students at an earlier age and setting the foundation for lifelong success. 

Community members who wish to support Focus Day School and its mission are encouraged to learn more, volunteer, or contribute to its continued growth. 

Enrollment remains open for students entering grades 3–6, expanding to 3-8 for the fall of 2026!
