Project Focus Students Take the Stage at Breakaway Tampa

On April 17, 2026, Project Focus Foundation students experienced it as something entirely different.

Before Tiësto and Dom Dolla took the stage at Raymond James Stadium, and before more than 17,000 fans filled the grounds, our students entered through the gates for a private Community Tour that redefined what access and inclusion should look like.

They walked the same paths as every attendee.
They stood in the same viewing areas.
They experienced the same amenities.

No separate entrance. No restricted sections. Full access.

That is what true inclusion looks like.

A Real Example of Inclusive Community Engagement

Breakaway Music Festival partnered with Project Focus Foundation to make this experience possible. Festival President Jarrod Fucci has emphasized that dance music is for everyone and should be accessible in every setting. This was not just a message. It was reflected in how the event was designed and executed.

Why Experiences Like This Matter

For Project Focus students, moments like this are not extras. They are essential.

Project Focus Foundation builds programs around education, vocational training, and adult services with one core belief: young adults with developmental and cognitive disabilities gain independence through real participation in real community experiences.

An event at a major venue like Raymond James Stadium is not just entertainment. It is a meaningful step toward independence, confidence, and inclusion.

Tampa’s Growth as an Inclusive Destination

Clayton Clemens noted that partnerships like this reflect how Tampa is evolving into a forward thinking and inclusive destination. Experiences like this help young adults build real world confidence and life skills that extend far beyond a single event.

Economic Impact and Community Value

Breakaway Tampa also delivered measurable impact for the region, bringing in more than 8,000 out of town visitors, creating nearly 200 local jobs, and generating over 4,100 hotel room nights.

The Community Tour added something even more valuable by turning a large scale entertainment event into a meaningful and inclusive community experience.

Supporting Inclusive Opportunities in Tampa

We are grateful to the Breakaway team for making inclusion a real part of their operation, not just a concept. We are also proud of every student who showed up, participated, and made the most of the opportunity.
